Partridge Harbor

Description: Tiny Partridge Harbor is considered one of the best anchorages on the lake and, as a result, is often crowded. Because the land around Partridge Harbor is private, Mediterranean-style mooring (bow out and stern tied to shore) is not permitted. (The police do check.)
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.

Small round inset along the secluded rocky coastline. 20 ft in the middle but quickly goes to 6 ft toward shore. Excellent mud bottom. Can hold 2-4 boats comfortably. Tuck in around the corner to get out of the lake Champlain waves. Posted land, not allowed to go to shore.

Beautiful secluded & protected rock lined harbor. (Private sand beach @SW corner, though weedy). Perfect except in a strong SE blow as the rock walls funnel & reflect the waves & back you up towards shear rock cliffs - not for the faint of heart with this (unusual) wind direction. Last time we were there, watched a moose swim across the Lake just outside the harbor
