Marina Review for Carolina Beach State Park

Great place if you can make it in.
Favor the reds as tight as possible. We saw 6.3 on a 3.7 foot tide. Tides are between 4-5 feet here, so you have to pick your window.
It's a quiet state park with a little store for ice cream and bait, but no beer.
Shower building does not have climate control. OK in summer, might be cold in winter.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Draft: 5.0'Overall Rating:5Plenty of room. Lewmar Delta held when we set it at half power, but dragged at full reverse
Dropped again, let it sit and sink for a while, and then it set well. Probably a soupy layer up top.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Significant tidal currents, can cause wind against tide and possible keel wrap. Bring a kellet.
Some boats appear to be derelicts.
Boats will come though at speed in the middle of the night, but that's no different than the rest of Florida.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Staff are very nice. Reservations are only day of, because they are sublets from the permanent owners.
Sea grass will set off transducer
