Description:
If you've struggled to find public areas to go ashore, trails and solitude, this is a hidden gem of a state park. Dinghy to the soft and slightly muddy beach and find a beautiful trail system along with a pretty picnic area. Holding is average to good in sand and grass. There were bathrooms and trash receptacles on shore.
DISCLAIMER: The laws and regulations governing anchoring in Florida waters are complex and everchanging. If you plan to anchor, whether overnight or for an extended period, you should confirm whether you are in compliance with local and state requirements before committing to a location. We arrived late in the day and anchored comfortably behind the shoal water. There is a $2 fee per person to enter the park. I'd advise going early. You must row the last 450ft to the beach to protect the wildlife. Lovely spot.
