Excellent experience at Deltaville Yacht Center!
Showed up to redo the bottom inspect/replace through hulls, prop, etc. I'm a DIY kind of sailor after many decades racing on great lakes. Good luck finding contractors back home that can to the most basic tasks to race quality. Now I'm adapting to cruising. Still DIY, just bigger and heavier.
Deltaville Yacht Center is reasonably priced, with great customer service, skilled workers and all around extremely helpful. They are willing and capable of doing all work on your boat, but just as happy if you do it yourself, offering very knowledgeable advice when asked.
I had concerns about the cut coming in. I draw 5' and no problem IF you follow the markers. There's a couple of hairpin turns, boat house obstructions you must be careful of, but saw 8' for the most part. A friend brought a boat with 6'9 draft in a week after me, and he had no problems.
The town does have an excellent hardware store, small town grocery store and a West Marine, but be sure to price your paint and supplies out at the yacht center. Very reasonable and competitive pricing.
If I had anything negative to say it's about the dining options. Oh, they have plenty….. WHEN THEY ARE OPEN. Many places are closed Sunday to Wednesday. Went to one fine dining place that advertised open until 9. Too bad their kitchen closes before 8 on a Friday night!
To get around, you will need a car. I had mine, but I believe the yacht center has a courtesy car. The shopping is quite spread out and most of it is a mile or more from most marinas in the area.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

I recently stored our boat on the hard over the winter to do some much needed TLC at DYC. All the staff, including Lew, Laura, Tony and James could not have been more friendly and helpful. Thank you for going above and beyond.

Great place in broad creek. Outstanding customer service. Definitely keep them in mind for hurricane haul-outs as well, they have a covered boatel.
