DESCRIPTION: General/Bridges/Construction From: 2024-11-19 To: 2025-09-30 Location: 27.92889° N / 82.58725° W Bridge Name: Howard Frankland I-275 Bridges Construction of the new I-275 Howard Frankland Bridge crossing Old Tampa Bay is ongoing. Bridge work will be performed 24 hours per day, Monday through Saturday. 5/22/2025 THROUGH 7/31/2025 CCHANNEL TRAFFIC WILL BE OBSTRUCTED NORTH OF THE EXISTING FENDER FOR INSTALLATION OF THE FENDER SYSTEM ON THE NEW HOWARD FRANKLAND BRIDGE. WE WILL HAVE TUGBOATS ACTIVELY WORKING EVERY SHIFT WHILE THE CHANNEL IS OBSTRUCTED AND BARGES CAN BE MOVED OUT OF THE CHANNEL WITHIN 30 MINUTES TO AN HOUR. DURING CONSTRUCTION THE CHANNEL WILL BE IMPEDED BY ~5'-0" ON BOTH SIDES OF THE CHANNEL FOR INSTALLATION OF A PILE TEMPLATE. THIS IMPEDENCE IS ON THE EAST AND WEST SIDE OF THE FENDER SYSTEM. TEMPLATES MAY BE INSTALLED UP TO 24 HOURS A DAY UNTIL CONSTRUCTION IS COMPLETE. VHF RADIO CHANNELS MONITORED: 13, 22A, AND 16 - Lat / Lon: N 27° 55.733' / W 082° 35.235'
