There was no one in the lock control room when I approached the lock. I was unable to reach them on channel 16 or by cell phone. I eventually called the Lock office, and they ran the operators down. This was a first for me. Apparently, one of them was carrying the handset, but didn't hear my radio call. Once I had their attention, I got prompt, courteous, professional service. Nice, smooth letdown.

Nice smooth lift. Bollards are on the RDB. Channel 16. Call when in sight of the lock.

I had no trouble locking through here at 8:00 PM, which is around sunset this time of hear. They were the only lock that wanted to tell me which side to tie off on. Everyone was polite and professional. The lift was so smooth I didn't notice when it started. Excellent work.

Lock operates from 7 AM to 3 AM. Prefers to be hailed on 14 or 16 as 13 is designated commercial.

Call the lock for their hours of operation when traveling this section of the river. It can change seasonally. What is listed is not necessarily correct year-round.
