Noteworthy:

Three of us (37' to 43' in length) tied up here to get out of a line of thunderstorms. There is about 200 feet of low concrete wall with lots of cleats. Be sure to tie up port side as to have the current come at you while on the wall. There is no power or water. There are restrooms at the nearby visitor center but only open when the center is open. There is a sign that says it's $15/night mooring but no information on how to pay and no one came around to ask for payment. So, technically, it's not a free wall although it was for us. A couple of locals came by to chat and see what all the nautical activity was about. They were also a wealth of information on local navigation and sights to see. The visitor center has a nice art display outside as well as a gallery inside. It also has a very nice coffee shop serving fresh croissant sandwiches and coffee starting at 9am. Too bad we had to leave earlier than that to make it to Ottawa ahead of more bad weather. This is a nice place to stop.
