Battery Hill

  • Location: Tennessee River
  • Mile Marker: 413.0 RDB
  • Lat / Lon: N 34° 56.174' / W 085° 41.645'
  • Depth: 20
  • Description:

Wide channel behind Long Island at Bridgeport. Enter from downstream and drop anchor in 20 ft under the power lines just upstream of the Yamaha Plant. The current keeps the boat in place but there is plenty of room to swing. The anchor skipped a bit, but once set it held firm. Leave the way you came in because there is a bridge further up that cruising boats can't pass under.

DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
