- Description:
Tahiti Beach is a gorgeous beach of white sand located on a drying sandbar. When the tide is out the beach is quite large and can become crowded with locals and tourists alike. During the busy season it is not uncommon to see floating bars and food kiosks within wading distance of shore serving libations and snacks to beach goers.
The atmosphere can be carnival like, and people-watchers will delight in surveying the crowds. It is also popular with boaters as it offers a beach day that can be enjoyed with only a short dinghy ride. It is a rare day when the beach is not lined with anchored vessels of all shapes and sizes.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
