- Mile Marker: 777.6 RDB
- Lat / Lon: N 44° 30.823' / W 092° 18.672'
- Description:
Popular anchorage with good protection from prevailing waves. Mud/silt bottom gives way to sand as it shallows out. Typically boats either anchor north of the point or beach on the point itself although the south side can be more protected depending on prevailing winds. The sand beach is part of Frontenac State Park and is accessible via a footpath from a parking lot about 1.5 miles away. Sharp debris is present on the riverbed, wear shoes if wading.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
