Wabash Island Anchorage
- Location: Ohio River
- Mile Marker: 851 LDB
- Lat / Lon: N 37° 45.914' / W 088° 01.908'
- Description:
There is a sandbar across the opening between Wabash Island and the Kentucky shoreline. The Smithland pool was at 12.5 feet on the tailwater guage. We carried 11 feet across the bar entering at visual center between the island and shoreline of Kentucky. There are rocks at the other end of the water up towards the JT Myers Lock, so locals told us to exit the same way we came in. Anchor held well and chain came up clean. Verizon signal was 2 bars LTE.
