Cayo del Rosario

• Depth: 3-6 meters
• Tide: 0.3 meters
• Description: This anchorage is relatively exposed from all but the prevailing easterly winds, but the entry is a simple matter of approaching the mangrove-shrouded shoreline of Cayo del Rosario and dropping anchor anywhere depth is sufficient. Our advice is to anchor as far away from shore as is prudent due to the mosquitoes that breed in the salt marshes of the cayo. See Waterway Guide Cuba for details on navigation and approaches.
