Abrahams Bay-Low Point Pass (West End)
- Location: Mayaguana, Bahamas
- Lat / Lon: N 22° 19.961' / W 073° 02.546'
- Depth: At least 6 feet
- Description:
The reef here breaks up wave action. From the Low Point Pass (west end) anchorage, if you choose to take your dinghy to the Abrahams Bay settlement dock, you have a long haul (just over 2 miles) to get there. Don't attempt it at low tide. You could be walking long before you get anywhere near the dock. If you really need the settlement, wait for rising tides or choose the Guano Point Pass (east end) anchorage.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
