- Location: Berry Islands, Bahamas

- Depth: 7'-10'
- Tide: 2.5'-3.0'
- Description:
Little Whale Cay is a private resort and landing is not permitted. The cay is surrounded by sand and it is possible to anchor anywhere along the west side, although the best protection in silty sand is found in front of the docks on the south side of the cay. The water is shallow in this area and vessels drawing more than 5.5’ should anchor along the more exposed northwest side of the cay. The anchorage is a good choice for vessels that need to wait for either the tide or better light to transit the channel into the anchorage on the west side of Bonds Cay. It is also a viable point of return for vessels that decide the standing wave outside the cut is too large for comfort and prefer to retreat to safety.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
