North of the mooring field, there is good holding and plenty of room for anchorage within a reasonable distance from shore. Launch service is offered by Port Jefferson Launch (VHF Channel 68), or you can take your tender to the dinghy dock immediately east of Bayles Dock, which is inside the Danfords Marina sea barrier. There is a small fee for the use of their dock.
