Gaulding Point/Twin Sisters Beach
- Location: North Eleuthera
- Lat / Lon: N 25° 25.751' / W 076° 36.036'
- Depth: 7'-9'
- Tide: 2.5'-3.5'
- Description:
For those wishing to visit the Glass Window, or The Queens Baths this is the most convenient anchorage. There is protection from the north through east, however there is almost always a swell in the area. Holding is fair as the bottom is hard and one needs to hunt for a pocket of sand. If the wind shifts into the south, it is time to leave as conditions can get uncomfortable very quickly. There are several large homes under construction on Gaulding Point and the noise from heavy equipment and air hammers permeates the anchorage.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
