Frazer's Hog Cay (East)
- Location: Berry Islands
- Lat / Lon: N 25° 25.500' / W 077° 49.936'
- Depth: 7-10 Feet
- Tide: 2.5'-3.0'
- Description:
The east side of Frazers Hog Cay is as close to an all-weather anchorage as you can find in this part of the Berrys.
At one time there was a row of mooring balls maintained by the Frazers Hog Beach Club, but after the facility was destroyed by a hurricane the balls have fallen into disrepair and should not be used, however tempting it might seem. For a short stay there is acceptable protection from both wind and current in settled conditions south of the old Beach Club, but if you are in the anchorage to escape a cold front it is best to continue about 1 nm past the Club for the best protection
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
